Finding the path
The Journey into Silence
From Ghent (E17 / N70)
Take the E17 motorway and exit at Lokeren. Follow the N70 eastward towards Eksaarde. As you enter the village, the roads narrow and the landscape opens into quiet fields and woodland. Stay on course until you reach Spletterendreef.
The Final Stretch
When the road becomes flanked by tall oaks and the sky opens wide above fields, slow down. A modest unpaved track leads left — it is unmarked intentionally. Follow it gently to the end. Casa UMU will be waiting in the quiet.
